MirrorStore™
replication appliance |
The StorageTek® MirrorStore™ replication
appliance provides local and remote data
replication and mirroring to help protect your
data against sudden or rolling disasters and
enhance its availability. It helps reduce the
chaos associated with the loss or unavailability
of your data and its storage management
complexity and cost. |

Applications |
Backup and restore
The MirrorStore replication appliance
facilitates disk-to-disk backup, providing
high-performance windowless data protection
and simplified online data recovery. |
Storage consolidation
MirrorStore’s data migration and storage
management capabilities help in
consolidation of heterogeneous storage
environments with its management and
utilization efficiency. |
Disaster recovery
Advanced data replication capabilities
enable rapid recovery from natural
disasters, system failures, viruses,
accidental deletion of information and other
threats to data. |
|
|
Benefits |
Cost savings, revenue protection
With its data mirroring and delta-based
snapshot replication capabilities,
MirrorStore helps you avoid the potentially
devastating costs of data loss and data
center downtime. |
Windowless backup
SAN-level disk-to-disk backup capabilities
provide point-in-time data protection
without requiring you to tie up systems for
backup runs. |
Storage consolidation, centralized
management
MirrorStore helps you increase efficiency
and reduce costs by consolidating storage,
maximizing utilization, centralizing
management and facilitating the use of
lower-cost disk for non-mission critical
applications. |
Business continuity, disaster recovery
The MirrorStore replication appliance
enables business continuity and fast data
recovery by providing high data availability
as well as added protection of
mission-critical information against
disasters, system failures and data
corruption. |
|
|
Features |
Easy integration
MirrorStore fits seamlessly into existing
heterogeneous environments for ease of
implementation and maximum utilization of
existing infrastructures and resources. |
SAN-level replication appliance topology
The MirrorStore solution encompasses a
Linux-based, 2U dual-processor server, Fibre
Channel and Ethernet ports, MirrorStore
software, maintenance, support and
professional services. The appliance can be
pre-configured with StorageTek D-Series™
disk subsystems or StorageTek BladeStore
(B-Series™) disk systems. |
TimeMark option
The TimeMark option provides multiple
instantaneous point-in-time snapshot copies
of an active drive for tracking changes and
rollbacks. If a disaster or data corruption
occurs, you can roll back to previous
snapshots. |
Active-active failover
Achieve high availability with automatic
failover for redundancy. Additional options
enable multi-pathing and load balancing for
availability and added end-to-end
protection. |
Data integrity and security
Encryption provides added security. Database
and file system agents help maintain data
integrity. |
Synchronous and asynchronous mirroring
The MirrorStore appliance provides real-time
and near-real-time copies of your primary
data for local and remote protection and
availability |
Local and remote replication capabilities
Flexible, policy-based replication sessions
compress the amount of data moved and when
it is moved to better manage your bandwidth
requirements and cost over existing Fibre
Channel or IP infrastructures. |
